How to download records from database table into CSV file?

When you need to download records from database table into CSV file, you need to tweak a bit around to get the final file, because SAP does not provide straightforward function on how to do it.

So, how to download records from database table into CSV file?

Here is how you do it.

Go to SE16 and display all the data on the screen, which you want to download.

Then click on Spreadsheet button.

Choose to save file as ‘Excel(in Office 2007 XLSX Fromat)’.

You can choose also other XLS format, but this one is the easiest to convert to CSV, without any further maintenance.

Then just open the file. Before the file will be opened, you may see the following warning window.

If it is your case, just hit ‘Yes’.

Now just use ‘Save As’ Excel functionality to save it as CSV file.

And you are done.
