ABAP Spirit Series - 3 Steps to the IT world
A lot of people are skipping this point because it’s looking pointlessly time-consuming.
But give me a try to show you why you don’t want to make the same mistake.
When you want to build a house. A good architect will start asking you questions:
- What you wanna build? How many rooms, bathrooms, storage spaces?
- And then she should ask you WHY?
A lot of people are skipping this point because it’s looking pointlessly time-consuming.
But give me a try to show you why you don’t want to make the same mistake.
When you want to build a house. A good architect will start asking you questions:
- What you wanna build? How many rooms, bathrooms, storage spaces?
- And then she should ask you WHY?
And it gets deeper,
- Why is it important for you? What are your habits? Where do you spend most of your time?
- And it can go ridiculously far, e.g. - Draw me your direction where you’re going after entering your current home in the first 10 minutes.
The reason why, …
…a really good architect wants to build you a house that is
- comfortable and fitted to your personality (you and your family),
- customized to your habits,
- and fulfilling the balance between your requirements and possibilities.
Building a new skill is the same.
What do you want to build?
You can answer by yourself and then..
…Why:
- Better money
- Remote working
- Grow professionally
- Be more independent
- Or …
And it can go deeper, …
- Be more proud of yourself.
- Support your family, secure your daughter’s studies, help your parents in their beautiful age
- Grow and give back to society
See?
Questions What, Why, and When will help you (along with the other things) with articulating which way of learning you should choose.
- self-paced, group learning, project-based, fully supported 1on1, focusing on one technology, gaining general overview, …
And that’s bringing me to point #2, which I will talk about in the following part:
